67 Minutes

Thanks to everyone who offered congratulations on the double birthday for New Insights after last week\’s post.

Today marks another birthday – altogether more notable …

… Nelson Mandela turns 94!

Making the world a better place

In 1942 Mandela started his campaign for human rights and by the time he retired from public service in 2009 he had spent spent 67 years working to make the world a better place.

South Africans and many people throughout the world mark the 18th July, known by some as Mandela Day, by devoting 67 minutes of their time to helping make the world a better place.

The Mandela Day website proclaims: \”The overarching objective of Mandela Day is to inspire individuals to take action to help change the world for the better.\”

This is indeed a noble purpose and reading this made me very proud of the industry that I – and many readers – are part of.

Helping people live to their true potential

Life coaches make a career out of helping people to live to their true potential by offering a caring, supportive and inspirational environment as well as empowering tools and techniques that really work.

Different coaches use different approaches to their clients. New Insights trained coaches have access to a quality 13-session coaching system that is well proven. Six months or so is all it takes to go from:

\”Wish I could do …\” to \”I\’m doing …!\”

How long does a typical life coaching session take?

Well, usually you can bank on at least 67 minutes! (And many coaches are a lot more generous).

The 67-Minute challenge

Come to think about it nearly 67 minutes has passed since I started writing this blog post and I\’m getting in the 67 minute swing of things, so here\’s my challenge:

If you\’re a coach or a trainee coach, I\’d ask you to do your bit to make our world a better place by offering 67 minutes of free coaching to as many people as you feel able to today.

If you\’re not a coach, I challenge you to take 67 minutes out of your day to read, watch or write something that will, in its own small way, inspire you to take action to make this world a little better!

Better still … sign up for 67 minutes of free life coaching!

In the spirit of Mandela Day, thank you, good luck and please feel free to offer comment on your experiences 🙂

  5. I am a breeder of English Bull Terriers and today I will dedicate an extra 67s to assist and educate bull terrier caretakers, current and potential, about the needs and characteristics of my beloved breed. Not only will this benefit the dog, but also the caretakers. Through this, hopefully, the human will learn a little more tolerance and patience towards their canine responsibilites as well as their fellow human beings. Owning a dog is a responsibility but also brings much joy and companionship to people. The unconditional love and ‘need to please’ the dog has for its caretaker is something quite unique.
