Sometimes a short poem can carry a more powerful message than a lengthy article.
We\’re proud to be associated with a lady called Georgina Laros, a New Insights trained coach, who is also a regular contributor to our blog β and an up and coming poet to boot!
Here, courtesy of Georgina, is a beautiful short poem from her \’Tables & Chairs\’ anthology.

The Song in Your Heart
Although sometimes out of tune
There is a song in your heart
It is meant to be sung
Just make the first start
Your song is so beautiful
Your heart tells you so
Your mind tells you differently
But your heart really knows
Your beautiful song
Is waiting to be heard
Give it your voice
Donβt think it absurd
The notes and the words
Are already there
Unlock them, release them
And with the universe share
Listen not to your inner critic
Who says it cannot be done
By taking that first step
The first note has been sung
Your song is your dream
Your dream is your song
If it feels right in your heart
Can it really be wrong?
A lovely poem to strengthen and support ones self belief.
Our souls dance the moment that we realise that our very own songs are the finest music to our ears!
It is so true, words can create or destroy. Thank you for your beautiful words that I think is creating a ripple effect through the Universe that will help to create love, peace and joy.
Thank you for you wonderful comment Riekie π
WOW!!!!! Thank you so much Georgina for reminding us the important organ we have, “The Heart”. The heart that knows the potential we lock inside it and do not want to unlock the potential within.
I am starting now to sing my song to be heard by the world.
Thanks to you too Bill.
