A very happy and prosperous 2012 to all readers. In 2012 we aim to help you be everything you want to be!
The \’honeymoon period\’
It\’s that time of the year I call the honeymoon period. Particularly so in the southern hemisphere where we\’ve all just come off long summer holidays.
This is the time when many of us are are back at work, starting to settle back in to a familiar old routine, yet mentally determined to make this a different year by instituting changes that we have thought long and hard about during our breaks.
Its a time when the allure of a fresh new start with new ideas, hopes and aspirations is pitted against the strong pull of the \’safety\’ of our all-too familiar routines.

An \’All-too-brief\’ window
It\’s an all-too-brief window during which our our minds and imaginations seem separated from our physical bodies and actions!
But for most of us the return to what we know and are familiar with is too strong to resist and the demands of our roles or jobs far too great to allow for much dissension. We simply have to get on with it – and leave our sweet dreams of better ways for another time.
During holiday periods we allow ourselves a break from the routine that dictates our lives and we give our minds and spirits the much needed regeneration time required to start conceiving of new and more joyful ways to live.
Few of us go that crucial step further
Unfortunately, few of us go that crucial step further and start to build a realistic plan of action for change. And without action to anchor in reality the hot air balloon that is our imagination, the change we dream of remains kittle more than a romantic notion.
The more self-motivated among us will take some change-inspired action, at least in the beginning. Note the sudden upsurge in people going to gym in January for example! Sadly, such action is seldom sustained as the demands of the life we want to change start to weigh more heavily upon us again.
New Year resolutions seldom work
Perhaps as you read this it may become clearer why New Year\’s resolutions seldom work.
A sure fire way to bring about lasting change
However, there is one sure fire way to bring about lasting change through a series of targeted actions cleverly constructed to result in sustainable and meaningful change …
Get a life coach 🙂
Life coaches are specially trained to know exactly how to help you go beyond the \’resolution\’ hump and bring about change that, when you look back, will leave you both surprised and extremely proud!
For a fee that can only be described as great value, a good life coach will assist you to achieve far more than you will on your own.
Alone, it\’s just too easy to fall victim to \’life as usual\’ with its many and varied demands.
With a coach, you\’ll see those demands for what they truly are – distractions (necessary or otherwise) from your path towards a great new life.
