Let the Magic Happen

Why are we here?

I believe that we are all ‘chips off the old block’ so to speak and that each of us has been created with the specific intent to continue the process of creation in our evolving universe.

Each of us was born with an inherent purpose (our unique role in the unfolding creation).

But, thanks to the the various societal norms and standards that we have been taught to uphold, the demands of day-to-day living have served to obscure that purpose for many of us.

[box type=\”shadow\”]“You are one thing only. You are a Divine Being. An all-powerful Creator. You are a Deity in jeans and a t-shirt, and within you dwells the infinite wisdom of the ages and the sacred creative force of All that is, will be and ever was.”

― Anthon St. Maarten[/box]

A precious gift

Whether we choose to try and reconnect with that purpose and whether – and with what degree of dedication – we decide to act on it, is entirely up to us.

The precious gift of free will that our creator bequeathed to us, gives us the freedom to design our experience on earth in any way we see fit. We are limited only by the self imposed constraints of our species and the degree to which we close our minds to our own potential and the tools that are available to us.

The creation process

The creation process is a simple yet powerful one. It is launched with a thought and facilitated through positive action that is inspired and sustained by unwavering intent.

All three of these elements – thought, action and intent – must be present and aligned for the manifestation of the ‘creation’, or desired state, to occur.

Most people fail to achieve what they want in life because they fail to act or because their thoughts and actions lack the necessary intent.

Others fail thanks to further thoughts that contradict the original intent, or because their actions are inappropriate or insufficient to achieve the desired intent.

A degenerative cycle

Failure to understand or embrace all elements of the creation process leads to unsatisfactory outcomes which in turn lead to a loss of faith in the process. And this starts a degenerative cycle that deprives us of any chance of ever making it work for us.

As humans our beliefs are formed from the interpretations we give to events and our experiences. Inability to make the creation process work leads us to develop negative beliefs about its validity.

Negative beliefs lead to negative expectations which encourage behaviours that result in poor outcomes. These, in turn, serve to strengthen the original negative belief.

The Secret and The Law of Attraction revisited

So if you are one of those who devoured “The Secret” and anything to do with the “Law of Attraction” when it first became widely published, only to find yourself later disillusioned by these teachings, then now you know why!

Mental conditioning

The process of creation, as I said before, is a simple one. And yet it is not easy to get right thanks to the ‘mental conditioning’ that we are exposed to, from soon after birth and right through our formative years.

Most of us harbour all manner of limiting or restricting beliefs – specifically when it comes to our own strengths and abilities and anything that is not scientifically proven beyond doubt.

A journey of personal development

So the creative process works. But getting it to work for you will require you to undertake something of a journey of personal development.

If you dream of a better life but, at the same time, you harbour thoughts like: “I can’t do this,” “this won’t work,” or “well, I’ll give it a shot, but if it doesn’t work out at least I’ve got my day job to fall back on,” then you’re already on the slippery slope of that degenerative cycle I talked about.

However, if your dream is accompanied by positive, super charged thoughts like: “Nothing’s going to stop me,” “I have every tool I need,” “other people have done this and so can I,” “I’m totally committed,” “I won’t hold back,” “I’ve got a plan” and so on, then your intent and thoughts are clearly aligned.

When you are inspired by clear intention and your ongoing thoughts are aligned to that intent, it’s just a question of taking positive and appropriate action.

Once you do, just sit back and let the magic happen!

  1. Bill you are always wonderful and so encouraging me with your well thought words. the way you presented relationship of thoughts, action and intent reminds me of our online students who have this so called fear of the unknown. They always have negative thinking about virtual learning and this results in them failing to achieve their desired outcomes.
    Precious

  2. Thanks Bill, I am climbing back on the coaching horse on Sunday, i have offered my services at our churches healing centre in Sasolburg, pro bono to get back into it and get experience. I am putting the supervisor through the 1st session to show him what coaching is all about, there are apparently alot of underprivilaged people who could benefit.

  3. The main reason for failure is an inability to “keep on keeping” even when you DON’T FEEL LIKE IT. It’s called perseverance or tenacity and it’s the secret to success, much more so than intelligence or talent. When one feels unstoppable, that’s when the magic starts to happen, but in my view, it’s no time to sit back, but to rather “keep on keeping on.” Complacency breeds deterioration.

  4. Thank you Bill this couldn’t have come at a better time for me personally and is a great follow up to your “Personal Renewal : The New Rich” blog. You have just inspired me greatly 🙂
